Centennial Team Volunteers at local Pet Pantry

7/30/2021

Centennial, CO – Colorado Natural Gas team members were excited to be of service at Colorado Pet Pantry (CPP), the largest organization of its kind in the United States, helping feed our local four-legged friends.

CPP's mission is to allow families to consistently feed their pets when finances are scarce, keeping local dogs and cats out of shelters. While volunteering at the nonprofit organization, Colorado Natural Gas team members sorted donations, built packing lists for pet food banks, and organized supplies for animal rescues.

“Families have been struggling with unprecedented situations because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” explained Debbie Williams, Marketing Associate. “Thanks to the network of organizations like Colorado Pet Pantry that provide access to free food, families in need do not have to make the heartbreaking choice of rehoming their pets due to not being able to feed them. It was an honor to volunteer!”

The volunteer opportunity was made possible by the volunteer time off program at Colorado Natural Gas, which provides team members up to 20 hours a year of paid time off to volunteer in the community.
