Colorado Natural Gas Awards $20,000 to Local Nonprofits Through Summit Cares

Grants support organizations that meet essential needs and strengthen communities across the company’s service area.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (July 28, 2026) — Three Colorado nonprofits will expand wildfire preparedness, youth development, and community support programs after receiving a combined $20,000 through the 2026 Summit Cares Grant Program, the charitable giving program of Colorado Natural Gas and its parent company, Summit Utilities.

The annual charitable giving program supports nonprofit organizations operating across Colorado Natural Gas’ service territory and helps advance programs that make a meaningful difference for local residents.

The 2026 awardees include:

• Fire Adapted Park County: Reduces wildfire risk and builds community resilience.
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County: Provides after-school programs and youth development opportunities.
• Mountain Resource Center: Connects families with food, housing assistance, and other essential services.

To qualify for a Summit Cares grant, applicants must operate within Colorado Natural Gas’ service territory and show documentation of 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt status. The program prioritizes organizations focused on basic human needs, STEAM education, community enrichment, and environmental stewardship.
