Colorado Natural Gas Donates School Supplies to the Pueblo School District

September 25, 2019

Colorado Natural Gas (CNG) is proud to donate school supplies to local schools in the Pueblo School District. Each year teachers’ wish lists fall short of basic school supplies such as paper, crayons, scissors, pencils, pens, glue, markers, folders, and erasers, as well as other items used in the classrooms every day, such as tissues and hand sanitizers. This year’s benefiting schools are Swallows Charter Academy K-12 and Skyview Middle School.

Every year, CNG awards thousands of dollars in grants to local nonprofits and community events. As part of those donations, CNG focuses efforts on assisting local schools through school supply and clothing donations. “This is the third year in a row that CNG has donated school supplies to schools within the Pueblo School District “, said Corey Thompson, the Pueblo West district manager. “This donation allows children in the areas we serve to have the supplies necessary to be successful in school. Many of us recall how exciting it was to purchase new notebooks, crayons, and pens and pencils that signaled the start of the new school year. There are far too many children in our community who do not get that experience. That is why CNG continues to support the back to school supply campaign to schools within the Pueblo School District”.
