Colorado Natural Gas Sponsors Deer Trail Rodeo “Home of the World’s First Rodeo”

DEER TRAIL, CO – Colorado Natural Gas (CNG) announces their role as a Gate Sponsor at the Deer Trail Rodeo “Home of the World’s First Rodeo.”

After being postponed in 2020 due to pandemic restrictions, Deer Trail Rodeo returned July 9-11, 2021. CNG team members took advantage of their 20-hour volunteer time off benefit to help set up rodeo events during the week. Team members also participated in the rodeo’s parade by handing out candy, souvenirs, and 811 safety fliers to promote community wellbeing.

“It’s an honor to be a part of this historic moment,” expressed Cody Stoumbaugh, Lead Technician at CNG. “Deer Trail Rodeo is an exciting community event that the entire family can enjoy, and this year marked the 152nd year of the rodeo. At CNG, ‘pioneering’ is one of our core values, which is what the rodeo organizers and community displayed to continue this fun summer tradition.”

Additionally, the Deer Trail Rodeo included kid’s track events, rodeo performances, a parade, Match Bronc Riding, a Queen Contest, Mutton Busting, kid’s calf riding and more. The event relies on the support of families, local businesses, corporate and community sponsors. With a helping hand from CNG and other local sponsors, Deer Trail Rodeo continues this exciting three-day tradition.
