Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon butter, ½ cup chopped onion, ½ cup chopped celery, 4 cans chicken broth, 1 can vegetable broth, ½ pound chopped cooked chicken breast, 1 package of noodles, 1 cup sliced carrots, ½ teaspoon dried basil, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.


  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until just tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add chicken broth, vegetable broth, chicken, noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
